This is a project made entirely by the students and teachers of the Institut de Llançà which, with the collaboration of the City Council, aims to make our town's trees known in an interactive and dynamic way, while discovering some of the best places in our town.

 

​Two walking routes have been created, one through the Village and one through the Port. On these trails, you'll find a series of trees that have a QR code at their base. By reading this code with the mobile phone, a series of contents will be opened that our students have been preparing or searching for during the 2021-22 academic year.

 

For each type of tree, very diverse information has been selected: on biology, on its uses; drawings have also been made and literature in various languages, pictorial works, films and musical pieces inspired by each species have been searched.

 

We have worked with 25 species and the trees chosen are those that, for some reason, we have considered the most emblematic. Maybe because they have a special symbology, maybe because they are in a beautiful place to visit, or because they are characteristic of the Mediterranean climate.

This project will allow the visitors to get to know places in the town that they would probably not have visited and, in addition, it will allow them to access a series of information associated with each species of tree that our students have worked on by courses and areas.

 

Doing these itineraries seemed to us a very beautiful and interesting way to discover Llançà and its surroundings, as well as contributing something to our town so that both the people of Llançà and the visitors can enjoy.

 

​This is the first phase of the project that we plan to complete during the 2023-24 academic year with more information and new trails.
